Pandanus grass weaving is a traditional practice amongst Daluk (Indigenous women) in Kakadu. First, Daluk gather pandanus leaves, stripping and preparing them. Then, using native berries, plants and flowers, the grass is dyed and hung in batches to dry. Once the pandanus process is complete, Daluk intricately weave using traditional techniques to create baskets, mats, or dilly bags.
Diameter: 21cm | Naturally Dyed Pandanus Grass
