Karl Haala

Karl was born in Darwin on the 8th of January 1999 to artist Jacqueline Cahill. He was taught to paint by his mother, Jacquie, a well-known Kakadu artist who is famous for painting with strands of her hair. 

Karl’s favourite thing to paint is Barramundi. In his spare time he loves to sit at home and paint, either by himself or with his family. He likes to paint because it is a big part of the culture he is a part of and brings him back to his cultural roots.
