Jarius Cameron

Jarius was taught how to paint from a young age by his father, David Cameron and Uncle, Marcus Cameron. He paints a range of subjects, drawing on the environment around him for inspiration.   

Jarius’ favourite subjects to paint are “Ginga”, the saltwater crocodile (his family dreaming) and “Yawk-Yawk”, the mythical mermaid-like creature that can be found in freshwater. 

When Jarius is not painting he can usually be found fishing on the South and East Alligator river systems. He traditionally hunts for his fish using spears made from bamboo. His favourite fish to eat is saratoga and barramundi.
